Rosters
When building your Cryptobots roster, it is critical to understand the differentiation between bots and the individual properties each may possess. There are 5 types of bots within the ecosystem, each with specific strengths and weaknesses that impact game strategy:
Assault: Extremely high damage, no defense
SpecOp: A balanced high damage class with moderate defense and varied skill set
SecOp: High defense, can draw enemy attacks
IntOp: Interferes with enemy strategy
CleanOp: Boosts allies
Every bot will be comprised of 7 different parts, each providing different attributes and stats:
Head and Body: define general stats
Eyes: define accuracy
Antenna: define abilities, it might be absent for some bots
Ears: define non-battle capabilities
Arms: define the type of attack
Mask: define lives
Legs: define agility and initiative
These individual traits will all impact the gameplay of your bots. Understanding the best possible combinations and composition of your team is crucial to being successful within this ecosystem. Upon creation, bots will automatically form synergy with others on your roster. Capitalizing on this team chemistry and using it to craft your ideal squad is an additional layer of complexity and is part of what gives this game so much depth.
Players will be able to upgrade their bots by purchasing the necessary parts with in-game currency. A unique feature Cryptobots has implemented is that of corporation production. In essence, each bot part will be produced by a different “corporation”. If the majority of a bot is comprised of parts from one corporation it will receive additional benefits in gameplay, especially against bots from rival corporations. The rarity of bot parts will vary, giving people the opportunity to pick and choose how they assemble their team.
