Administration and Departments

Administrators:

Role and Responsibility:

  • Leadership: Administrators act as the principal leaders for their respective Departments. They ensure that the Department's goals align with the broader vision of the Gala Collective.

  • Proposal Initiation: They have the authority to present Governance Proposals that can bring about change within their Department or influence the entire Collective.

  • Budget Management: Administrators oversee the budget allocated to their Department, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing wastage.

Election Process:

  • Engagement Phase: Before elections, potential Administrators engage with the Gala community for 90 days. This period is an opportunity for candidates to express their visions, plans, and answer questions from community members.

  • Voting: Every KYC-verified member of the Collective gets to vote once per Department. This ensures a fair and democratic selection process.

  • Term Limit: An Administrator can serve for two consecutive terms, preventing any prolonged consolidation of power within a single entity. They can serve more terms but not consecutively, ensuring fresh perspectives and preventing stagnation.

Accountability and Oversight:

  • Regular Reporting: Administrators might be required to present regular reports on their Department's progress, ensuring transparency.

  • Feedback Loop: They should be receptive to feedback from community members, making necessary adjustments based on the Collective’s needs and desires.

Departments:

Structure and Role:

  • Specialized Units: Departments are specialized entities within the GG Collective, each catering to a specific function like treasury, content creation, new ventures, etc.

  • Standard Operating Agreement (SOA): Each Department operates under a SOA, detailing its day-to-day functions, scope, and limitations. This document ensures clarity and consistency in operations.

Funding and Budget:

  • Allocation: The Collective decides the budget allocation for each Department based on its needs and the overall capital available. The funding is structured with daily, weekly, and quarterly ceilings.

  • Usage: Departments utilize these funds to achieve their specific objectives, be it developing new games, marketing campaigns, or technological innovations.

Proposal Rights:

  • Initiation: While Administrators generally introduce proposals, Departments as a whole, through consensus, might also have the right to suggest changes or new initiatives.

  • Token-Based Proposals: The token system encourages Departments to regularly come up with innovative ideas. With each approved proposal, Departments retain their tokens, promoting a system where quality proposals are rewarded.

Accountability:

  • Performance Review: The performance of each Department can be periodically reviewed based on predefined metrics, ensuring they stay aligned with the Collective's goals.

  • Community Feedback: Departments might have platforms or channels where they gather feedback from the broader community, ensuring they remain responsive to the Collective’s evolving needs.
